Overall, once you sift out the negatives you can see that the Hytale community is really passionate about the game. But even so, they're not that big of a deal, and once Hytale releases, I'd hope they they settle back down to the bottom of the barrel and become what we can expect from fans of any franchise: a small, toxic minority of its players that don't talk over a greater community of really, REALLY talented fans and users.

So there are people who absolutely have no reservations about that, for sure.

I will say I have seen people say some pretty disparaging stuff about Minecraft. It makes me wonder just how many people are going out of their way to talk trash on any of Mojang's forum pages or partnered Minecraft forums, and how much of the "hate" that Minecraft is getting is exaggerated. When a new voxel game shows up on the block that has a lot of features that the unsatisfied portion of the Minecraft community wanted, it's no surprise that a vocal minority of those people would start using a new game as their "platform" to air their grievancesīut Gelbton also has a good point, that there are people within the Minecraft community that are taking criticism aimed at a game they love, and treating it as if it's hate. I think part of the issue is that people have been throwing shade at Mojang for questionable design philosophies for a long while, well before the Hytale trailer was released. And honestly, if Hytale becomes successful, maybe that will give Mojang the extra push to integrate similar features into Minecraft down the road. Hytale was made because there were things about Minecraft that Noxy and company wished could be better, but instead of whining about it, they chose to do something and add features that they knew players would want. The best case scenario is both communities sticking around and bouncing off one another. I for one don't want Hytale to be a "Minecraft killer", because if Minecraft fades into obscurity, then we'll potentially end up with a similar problem down the line for Hytale where the developers get lax from lack of competition. Sure, there are thing about Minecraft we don't like, and there are definitely some aspects that could have been thought out a bit better, but that doesn't stop people from playing or enjoying it. But a lot of the "anti-minecraft" sentiment it is just taking criticism of game design choices that Mojang has made out of context. Indeed, it seems like some people enjoy arguing bad faith on part of the Hytale community.
